Fishing

The nearby sounds of Grøtsund and Langsund are both excellent for fishing. Cod and coalfish are the most common catches, while catfish, haddock and tusk are also landed. Halibut is less frequent, but also possible. For more experienced anglers, we also recommend Grøtsundet northwards to Grøtnesodden and Ulfstinden. Water depths here can reach 200 m.

The fish weigh 23 kg and 21 kg respectively.

Boat hire

We hire row boats for 2-5 people, which are ideal for fishing or family trips. Our boats are also suitable for trips to relax on beaches on the nearby islands. Boats are available for hire with or without motors.
We provide: fish cleaning facilities, freezers and a cold storage room.
For deep-sea fishing, we recommend a "Rana 530", which features a 40 hp motor and echo sounder. These are extremely stable boats certified for up to six people. For deep-sea fishing trips, we recommend a maximum of four people per boat.
April is a great time to fish here as you can catch the large migrating Arctic cod.
